My Ride: 2006 525i
I just surpassed 120k miles. I bought it at just over 100k and had former owner do those recommended maintenance items (he also replaced original battery with six years on it in TX). I just changed the coolant temperature sensor o-ring. Now, I need to replace AC compressor due to bad bearing in shaft. But that is the first big $ repair in 20k miles. Changed oil twice and bought better tires (Continental Extreme Contact DWS), but that's it. I'm warned by mechanic to watch coolant system after six years.

My Ride: 04' 530i w/sport package
I bought mine last month with 102K miles... I suspect the PO didn't want to do any of the 100K service so they just dumped it. Just changed my plugs couple days ago. Huge difference... I have torque and more power now... The old ones were pretty toasted. Dealership got the car with a dead battery and then changed it with a new one, good right? Well, they fried the IBS cable and I had no stereo for the first two weeks. All good now tho! Lovin it!

My Ride: E60 530i
Model Year: 2004
Engine: M54
Just passed 100k miles and only the following 3 items were replaced by dealer: DVD assembly (Navigation not working), sunroof casttle (loud crack sound when closing in hot days) and mechatronics sleeve (leaking tranny fluid slowly).
Battery was replaced by myself - hard and long crank to start car.

Hey no problem at all man! I'm not quite sure if its the main thermostat or if its the EGR thermostat but whatever the problem is its causing my engine to drop to 48 degrees Celsius when driving at highway speeds fwhich is causing my heat to be very low or cool.... are you having the same issue?

Yeah I'm having an issue which I think is related to my thermostat. 48c wow thats super low. Mine doesnt quite go that low. Pretty much mine runs from 90 to 102c without the heater on. Soon as I turn on the heater my temp goes down to about 75. If I have the heater on when I start my car from the cold it will never warm up. So being here in Canada where temp is -10 right now driving without heater on kinda sucks(I'm afraid to damage my spark plugs and anything else for that matter driving with cold engine). The car didn't give me any codes. I'm waiting for a cable for inpa software to see if it can point me in the right direction.
