any coders out there? 545 coding to add aux in, need help
all.
after completing my coolant pipe a few weeks back I became motivated to tackle other tasks such as adding the aux pipe to my 545. I have physically installed the cord under my radio. got all the way to the last step of coding ( according to this video on youtube BMW E60 5 series How to code AUX in Idrive ncs expert step by step - YouTube ) and when I went to code the ecu I'm getting the error code as seen in the attached pic.
any ideas gurus? I've been on bmwcoding.com but not to much help there.

I believe that the software is trying to "ping" the M-ASK module and is unable to do so. You might have to upgrade the DATEN files in order to get the correct file that matches the installed module.

this is my first coding job so I'm a noobie. can you tell me step by step how to do that?

how did you fix yours?

Before going through the trouble of updating your DATEN, are you sure you setup your cable correctly? The most important thing is once you plug in your USB, is it connected as Port 1? I had the same issue or an issue (not sure if it was coapi-2060) and it turned out that the Port was set to another number. Make sure your settings are set correctly under Port setting:
Bits/sec: 9600
Date bits: 8
COM Port number: 1
USB Transfer Sizes: 4096
Latency Timer: 1
Timeouts: 0
If it is then go ahead with the DATEN update. FYI you should look into updating your DATEN anyways.

Yes ^ , you should check via INPA that your connection is good. Also I just found it from a thread on BMWCODING. If you need me to send them, id be more than willing to. But i believe you will only need the e60 updated DATEN, but if you have more models you'd like to get coded. You will need to update all your DATEN (around 4gb).
