Back again gents after the top help I got last time

I started my car up this morning and had a fault message that reads

"SIDE PASSENGER WINDOW ANTI TRAP FAULT"

The window seems to be working although I must admit I havent stuck my fingers in to see if it stops !

Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem might be ???

Thanx in advance
Jordan

Were you doing any wiring mods? I had this fault a few times as a result of attempting to hardwire a V1 radar detector... the '08's CPU monitor circuit characteristics in manners that make some mods very troublesome.

Yeah, just follow the instructions in post #2. I had to reset mine after cleaning some crud off the front passener window on time. It's super sensitive.

I have however done a bit of a wiring mod, Ive had a parrot system fitted to get away from loosing my CD changer to play my Iphone mp3s, ?250 fitted and with a really nice custom fit for the screen, ill put some pics up if anyones interested, the mod was only a mute loom though witch was supplied by BMW ???

I had this happen to me one time when there was ice on the window. It created enough resistance that the window slowed on the way up/down when the ice passed through the weatherstripping. Scraping the ice off and running the window up/down from fully open to closed seemed to reset it.

HTH.. YMMV
