My Ride: 2007 530i, white/black manual, sports package, nav, PDC, etc.
Love it. It really gives the interior a much sportier feel. I was concerned that it would make a black interior too cave-like, and it doesn't do so at all. Definitely would order it again.

In the UK, the black headliner is free when you get a Sport model, but you have to pay for it if you get the non-sport model.

I also really like the Anthracite Headliner and was used to a lighter gray interior prior. Its not too dark IMO and goes great with the Natural Brown interior.

I paid for mine. I think you got lucky! 
And I love mine. Great look, not dark or cave-like at all. I wish they would dump those awful looking airbag warning stickers on the back of the visors (or let the user remove them easily). They spoil the integrated black look. :thumbsdown:

I really liked the Anthracite Headliner on my 550 Sport. It is just plain cool looking.
I am going to special order some Euro spec visors without the US Lawyer Stickers. I dislike those stupid stickers.
