My Ride: 2007 530i. Purchased 6/28/07. Titanium Silver Metallic, Black Dakota Leather, Dark Poplar Trim, Steptronic, Premium Package, Cold Weather Package, Bluetooth, Adaptive Control Xenons. 10/30/07 Added OEM 124s with 245/40/18 & 275/35/18 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires. I don't want to make things fit, ie use spacers. Not keen on spacers between hubs and wheels etc! I think I'll just have to keep looking to find the correct size genuine items. I've also got my eyes on a set of 18" flat spoke (7 spokes 245/40/18), but not too sure if they'll look that great???

Thanks for the tyre info, these are the wheels in question that are I think style 166 which is why I like them so much! I don't think they're 11 years old! I'm sure they'd look great on my mystic blue E60 and not many sets like these seem to turn up!?!? So undecided!!!

Anyway, get the 19" 166's (even if you have to find real ones elsewhere)....will look SO much more aggressive than some ordinary 123's (no offense to those who ride on these).

Do you have the standard suspension or the msports ?
I've recently changed from 17" to 18" and i have a standard (sports) suspension, not the msports. The ride and road noise definately got worse.
This is something you definately have to keep in mind if you set for the 19"s.
You can get the Msports 135s on ebay (18") for not much money, around ?650-?850. Genuine 19"s are far more expensive (around the ?1100-?1200) and difficult to find.
I can post a pic if you want to see how the 135s look on the car. I urge you not to get replicas!

The ride might be harsher than what you are used to since the newer 18" tires would have a shorter sidewall, but the ride is in no way too harsh. You will get used to it. If you have bad roads with lots of potholes, then I'd recommend you stay with 18's, so as not to bend a rim.
