Yesterday I was going down the hwy and the car goes into N. I'm not able to put it back into gear just as it has beeen described here several times. Had to wait for the flat bed. I have a little over 12,000 on the car. At the dealer, while I was waiting, I did some research here and I knew what the were going to do before they came to tell me. they are changing the hydraulic pump and something else. I know that is going to happen again and they will probably have to change the whole transmition. Now I am driving a Camry rental for a few days. I fell sorry for the people that buy these cars out of warranty. While I was at the dealer I cancel my order for the M5. Porsche, here I come...

Got the car back today. The SMG hydraulic pump and a relay were changed. So far so good.

The car is a '05 545 SMG. I am not shure about build date. I got the car in Jan '05. It currentlly has a little over 12,000 miles. Don't take me wrong, I love the car and SMG is a lot of fun. But I am getting to know my SA a little too well. I have a '99 996 Porsche and it has been rock solid. It still runs like brand new ( only 35,000 miles).
