Hey everyone.
I was on a trip to Vegas and on the way I received that Idrive message about my engine needing a quart of oil. Got to Vegas and on the way back still forgot to put in that quart. As I was driving the Idrive showed I needed more than a quart so I stopped at a Autozone on the way back. I take a look in my glove compartment and no Manual. I totally forgot I had taken it out to show a buddy of mine something at the house. So I ask autozone to look it up and they only show some weird brand and 10w30 needed. I checked the oil cap and of course it shows Castrol. I ended up putting in 2 quarts of Castrol 10W-30 Syntec Oil in. Come to check the forums now and this is the wrong Oil type and Viscosity rating.
Here is a link to the oil I put in (2 quarts) Castrol Syntec
To make the longest story short. I am up for an oil change in 1800 miles. Should I go get my oil change now with BMW or will my engine be fine.
This is for a 2009 BMW 535I.
Thanks
Eddie.

1,800 miles? I wouldn't worry about it.
It is probably easier to find Valvoline SynPower 5W-30 for topping off.
BMW USA approved motor oils

OK. Sounds good. I just hate the rentals they give you when you put your car in service. 328 is too small for me
I guess I'll give it a run for a while and still bring it in a 500mi or so early for maintenance.
