Another Airbag/SRS warning light thread...
So, I'm a new-to-me owner of a 525i that has the dreaded SRS/Airbag light on. I've taken it to the dealer for an open recall on the seat mat occupancy sensor, which they've claimed to R&R, and "program to the car" without any success of the light going away.
They also claimed to not have tried to clear the error codes to see if it comes back.
I've hooked it up to INPA and got these codes. I've cleared them, but they've since came back.
SIM/SGM:
93CC Airbag sensor, B-pillar, left (Y-direction)
93CD Airbag sensor, B-pillar, right (Y-direction)
SBSR:
95BA Seat occupancy detector, passenger: not released
The SA at BMW claimed that the issue might be in the airbag module, but would need to charge $220 for a diagnostic.
Can anyone help me solve this problem?

I had the same issue and fixed this with the resistor mod, that's good you have INPA ready, because we'll need that to clear the code. - shoot me a PM and we'll talk
