Why should I be forced to pay taxes???

I made the money, why do I need to give some away to the government?

My briefcase triggers the seatbelt light/chime too. If I would've known about this BEFORE I bought the car I may have looked at a different vehicle altogether.
Oh come on be real, this would have changed your choice of vehicle??????

Just about every prestige car on the market does this, and why is your dog in the front passenger seat ?

In an accident it is a lethal missile, not to mention the distraction a dog can cause to the driver when it moves around.

Either buy an E61 or at least put the dog in the back seat.

Don't forget who's taxes and insurance premiums pay for the additional injuries caused to those who do not wear seat belts.

Mind you a 12 inch spike sticking out of the steering wheel might make some drive with a bit more care

Or buy a dog harness - which BTW requires a seat belt to secure it, so you will solve two problems in one:

1. A dog in the front of the car, free to jump about (including on your lap just when you don't need it) and
2. The seatbelt chime will stop

Maybe you'd rather spend your hard-earned money on building roads for you e60?

WTF is a dog doing in the front seat?! Sorry i'm not taking it rude but rather hilarious. It shouldn't be there in the 1st place. Like the other members said do you want it moving, licking and barking and jumping from one place to another while you are driving in traffic?! It's as bad if not worse of talking to the phone/reading your newspaper while driving (in traffic).

You must have a briefcase that weighs at least 20-30 kilos. What do you carry man? Lead? And if it's that heavy and i suspect rather big why not put it in the back seat footarea on the right so you can reach it in case of emergency. Not to mention that sitting in the front seat can cause some damage if you brake hard.

PS: I ignore the comment about buying another car.

Here's my major objection:

I paid for the car, why should I be forced to wear my seatbelt? For what it's worth I wear my seatbelt 100% of the time, but it's the principle of the matter. Who are they to MAKE me wear it? My biggest problem with it is that when I travel with my English Bulldog in the passenger seat she triggers the seatbelt warning/chime and since she moves around a fair amount the seatbelt chime NEVER goes off (I've tried for 20+ minutes). Why should I have to wrap the seatbelt around the seat? If you ask me, this is a HUGE issue. It's not about whether or not you should wear your seatbelt. It's about them forcing you to do so. I asked my SA and he said they're unable to turn it off. If anyone has heard/done otherwise please let me know.
I know that no car maker can force us or make us to wear the seat belt but they can reminding us to wear a seatbelt. in the end itis your live so they don`t realy care if you wear it or not.
If you have a dog then put it in the back.
