Wear the seatbelt! The buzz is there for a reason and even if sometimes it bothers especially when you have to do a go-stop-go that triggers it, wear it and let it be. I know unfortunately from experience that not wearing it can lead to very serious injuries.

wrap the seatbelt behind the seat and clip it in.

or

buy an individual belt clip piece from an auto parts store and clip it in.

The E90 3 has the annoying seat belt reminder beeps. Does the 5 have the same function? And speaking of which, does anyone know if it is possible to turn it off?
If you ask this,I see that you arenot a street racer or drive very fast, but any way...
1st why on earth do you what it turned off?
2nd it is very unsafe not to were a seat belt, unless you what to die.
I allways were it no matter which contry i`m in, even if the law say you don`t have to were 1, I would still were it.
last if you what to switch it off you need to go to a 3rd party with a bmw computer and ask them to trun it off.

I thought I read here that the dealer can turn it off if you sign a waiver (US).
yes they can and same for the airbags too but need to sign some doc. 1st the if you have a crash then you can not blame BMW, just your self.

Here's my major objection:

I paid for the car, why should I be forced to wear my seatbelt? For what it's worth I wear my seatbelt 100% of the time, but it's the principle of the matter. Who are they to MAKE me wear it? My biggest problem with it is that when I travel with my English Bulldog in the passenger seat she triggers the seatbelt warning/chime and since she moves around a fair amount the seatbelt chime NEVER goes off (I've tried for 20+ minutes). Why should I have to wrap the seatbelt around the seat? If you ask me, this is a HUGE issue. It's not about whether or not you should wear your seatbelt. It's about them forcing you to do so. I asked my SA and he said they're unable to turn it off. If anyone has heard/done otherwise please let me know.

My briefcase triggers the seatbelt light/chime too. If I would've known about this BEFORE I bought the car I may have looked at a different vehicle altogether.

That's the alternatives.

And if you don't wear the seatbelt:
