Wow. I would not be comfortable continuing to drive the car. Understand you may have no choice as only option, but damn. I would also have liked to find out why those sounds were coming from my beloved before I took it to a service center, but at this point I think you should get it there ASAP and without telling one of the techies, have him drive it with you in the pass side. Let him find out for himself when and where the noises are coming from. If he cannot, or will not find the noise, then you may find yourself in a battle with the center. If he does experience the problem for himself, then I am sure you will be able to cajole the dealership into doing the work for free.
Good Luck!!

I certainly feel where you coming from. Hear my story. In april of this year I purchased my first BMW ever, 06 550i fully loaded. The second week driving it, I noticed a knocking noise coming from the engine at low speeds especially when the a/c was on. I took it in for service about 6 times and heard all types of excuses. Once i threatened them with a lawyer, a month later the same car was ordered for me; only this time a 07 for the same price. If this is the noise you're talking about don't think its normal.

CIP 24.XX., anybody in the U.S. have this update done? My car doesn't have HD radio, would I be able to get RTTI?
As I mentioned before, my car is a pre-september-MY07 build w/ nav.
I have a 2 week old car with v. 24 and the eyebrows (as well as everything else) work fine. I think that for pre-September '06 builds, the RTTI is a hardware issue, not a programming one. I don't think you can get it even if you don't have HD radio.

Again thanks all for your help,
Funny thing is my dealership already gave me a new 07 from an 06. T T
I love the car, but little things about the quality of the car just makes me bugg out!!
Hopefully, I won't have to go through another replacement. I just started to grow closer to this one.
Again, I will keep everyone posted once I get my car examed after the holidays.

PEACE. Y
