My Ride: 2007 525i (not LCI) - Alpine white, M sport package, Comfort seats, Logic 7, Bluetooth, Xenon adaptive headlights, PDC, sunroof, A/C with extended features, etc.

Sorry to sound dim but I just got a 535d M Sport (55 plate) on Monday. What do you mean when you say "angel eyes"? Also what exactly do the daytime running lights do? Does it just light up the orange bit above the lights? I know I can check it out but I'v just been sooo busy.

Phil,

'angel eyes' refer to the two round rings in each headlight.

as for what the daytime running lights do, i think its different for pre LCI and LCI. in case u dont know what LCI is, it refers to the new facelifted model released in 08, with the LED tail-lights and new headlights.

anyway, for pre-lci models, if you turn the daytime running lights on, the inner (smaller) lights of the headlight will be on during the day, given that you keep your hadlight switch in AUTO.

for LCI models, i THINK (but not 100% sure) that only both the rings will light up during the day.
