I just installed the xenon color look for the angel eyes on my LCI headlights (H8 bulb) ....

...wasn't that pleased and took them right off, although from a standpoint of brightness they're not too bad, the color blends in too much with the daylight making them not as visible as stock. From the pics you can see the xenon color just brightens the glass, on a sunny day they are significantly less visible than stock.

The idea behind DRL is to be visible and enhance safety - the stock ones are just great. From a "coolness" point of view I like the the xenon color, but even the characteristic stock angel eyes are legends on the road.

Looking at the pic: left is stock, right is xenon color

Attachment 47578

Looking at your pic, my DRLs look like the left and my park lights look like the right.

I also tried the Thunder H8 bulbs. Great color but not bright. I took them out after a day.
GP Thunder bulbs get brighter after 3 days. I did the same mistake before taking it off after i just installed them because they weren't bright at all but Vince from EuroRev told me that those bulbs need 3 days to get its max output. Although stock one are still more visible, i still prefer to keep them white. The only trade off here is that you can barely see them at day time which i care less since you don't need lights when it's bright out. But when there's no sun, these halos look amazing! Just try them for now until AIB or Umnitza comes up with a real solution.

i recently got the Predator ice angle eyes.

they are the same brightness as the stock ones except they are white.

on an overcast or sunny day or even at dusk you cant tell if they are on or not.

they look better than stock color at night but not noticeable during the day.

than again i saw some very bright angle eyes on another car and they looked unrefined IMO.

the 8500k is the whitest you can go without the yellow hint but will have a slight purplish hint. EuroRev has tested lower kelvin bulbs and decided to stick with 8500k. the inner halos dim when you turn on the headlights so the color does not match the stock headlamps perfectly. they are very close to perfect match though. imo, these are better than the stock yellow bulbs. i just can't stand the stock yellow look combined with our stock hid lamps. the gp thunders looks great when there's no sun!

If you guys want pics, check out e90post.com and search for e92 335i angel eyes with gp thunders. That's where i found out about these bulbs. Forum member (O-Cha) is developing a headlamp harness to make the halos NOT go dim when the headlights are on. If he finds a plug and play solution then I think we might have the answer to our prayers. Sorry I don't have pics for my gp thunders but you can check out my other posts on HID angel eyes. Friggin amazing!...

Need help. ..I have a 2006 with BMW harness, LED taillights and angel eyes. My angel eyes are not as bright as a the 08 angel eyes. Does anyone make a yellow bulb that's as bright as the ones on the 2008.
