Need advice from anyone experienced with Angel Eye lighting. I got my 2008 550i a week ago and shortly after getting the car home, my drivers side Angel eye went out. I replaced the bulb and it worked initially but it is now out again. Tonight I replaced the bulb with another known good bulb and it is not coming on. I haven't pulled the headlight to see if there could be a bad connection or short, but could use any ideas what this could be.

I am still under warranty and maintenance so I can probably take it in to the dealer to be looked at (which ultimately may be the best idea anyway) but I was hoping this is something stupid that I could fix myself. Any ideas would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Your car is under warranty. Just take it in

If it's a cheap bulb replacement I say do it yourself, rather than wasting gas driving to the dealer then waiting 1-2 hours for your car to be fixed. If it's less than a $15 fix then do it yourself imo.

I would normally agree, but its not the bulb. Tried a could bulbs and no dice. Started the car this morning and the light worked briefly, then went out again. Probably a short, but will have to take it in unless anyone has any other ideas.

Thanks!

Get it to a dealer ... not only to correctly diagnose but to ensure the fault is recorded while still under warranty. It's likely the cause may involve other electronics - problems you don't want to have post-warranty!
