Hi there...
Can I ask if you change the hid kit yourself? I'm having similar headlight running on a H7 halogen and wonder if you could share the upgrade process if u were to do it yourself. Thanks....

Yes, I done the install my self, it's very easy.
I spent only 1h, I will take photos this WE to show you the install.
You plug red and black wires to the OEM H7 bulb socket, then this wire go to ballast input, then from the ballast outpout there is a harness (with anti-error) which goes to HID bulb.
All wire and harness have a specific connexion, so it's impossible to do a mistake.
I switched from H7 halogen to HID 6000k and the result is awesome, the light beam is very powerful.

no you have not to remove the headlight.
You have to remove the metalic socket from the bulb (The socket of the H7 bulb) and set it on the the HID bulb to allow it to connect in the original place.

Yes of course, you need specific ballasts which do not trigger error on the idrive.
In France i found only one vendor which sells the good ballasts.
