Must be a problem related with differences in control modules (different BMW suppliers ?)
Otherwise it makes no sense at all.
Great spec ricky

Some last news. My dealer told me that since 16.1 to recover the amber LEDs he has to enable the daylight feature (not set by default).
What is it ? Do you believe this ?

Probably they found that behaviour to be a side effect of the LED bug, but s/w bugs should be eradicated, instead of asking us (the customers) to adapt to their existence.
Besides there are lots of E60's out there with the same CIP versions we have and no problem with LED's.

Hummm what? Does you dealer mean if he installs 16.1 the LEDs will work ONLY if they activate the DRLs?
Or does he mean 16.1 will work fine and whatever version you are running now, the LEDs will only work in conjunction with DRLs?
My understanding is whatever version is running now (>16.1) he has to enable DRL to activate the LEDs. I don't really know what he meant and DRL is useless in France. He will call me this week with further information. I keep you posted.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but my LEDs stopped working when updated to 17 & I do now have DRL enabled too. It does not matter what I do to DRL, the LEDs do not work!.
Thanks for the post even though that's bad news. My dealer told me that's something he has to enable with his computer and can't be done by the client. I don't know more about and expect more news this week.
