Is it true that you can not get angel eyes for the 2008 models? If not, what is the reason.

There are no LED replacements for LCI E60's available on the market at this current time. The major companies claim they are still in development. The only viable solution as of right now is to replace the stock bulbs with coated halogen bulbs.

jcool10181 changed out his stock bulbs for HID's but he lost some functionality.

While waiting for AIB or Umnitza to come up with a solution, I have GP Thunder 8500K bulbs installed. I took out the HID h8 kit because it's running hot and might cause some problems with my harness. I am also waiting for a plug and play solution to get the HID kit working with the headlights. The GP Thunders are decent but not as bright as e92 owners are claiming. Maybe i got used to the super brightness of having HID angel eyes! You might want to checkout this PIAA LED bulbs:

I don't know where to buy them within the U.S. I will keep you guys posted as soon as i find a real solution.

What are angel eyes? Has anyone removed the horizontal colored trim piece in the center of the front bottom most trim opening? Wonder what that would look like - - -
