Attended a car forum today and sat in an E60 with amethyst leather. I thought it looked really classy and would suggest that anyone looking to get an E60 with a light interior to seriously consider this option especially with maple wood. The 2 tone doors with black look especially classy. It also looks a more durable colour than grey or beige IMHO. I used to have grey and was never keen on the way everything in the car was grey.

Yes sorry guys pics are required to make a good thread!
I couldn't take any pics of the car I sat in as my camera phone was confiscated until after the forum.
Here is a pic from BMW's web site showing the colour. The black door trim, carpets, and cappings look fantastic against the light leather. Very similar to auburn but not as bright.
