Yesterday my wife and I decided to make our first trip in our new car. The plan was to attend a Church Service at F?tima and have lunch near Coimbra. I know all the way through but... let's try the navigation system.
Surprise of the surprises, F?tima wasn't there, not the Sanctuary, not even the City!!!
F?tima along with Santiago de Compostela-Spain, Lourdes-France and Czestochowa-Poland are the major places of catholics peregrination in Europe. I can?t believe that Navteq has missed that place.
I've already sent them a note.

So as you were driving around the city, the map didn't have any detail on roads at all?

I know that in Portugal the sistem it will fail a lot.
In Lisbon you can use it ok.

Exactly, no roads, no roundabouts, nothing... I've tried to use the map to address a point, where F?tima should be, and, as a result the system gets completely lost. I coudnt make it even find the oldest Motorway in Portugal (A1) to find the way back to Lisbon!!!

You will get the high ways, Lisbon, Porto and some more citys but not the complete map. They haven't done the complete map. I think that the one that works better in Portugal is the Bosch system. They have a company working in Portugal and Spain called Teleatlas.

Now that's just wrong.
I can see why some infos are not accurate, since there are a lot of changes everyday, but this city wasn't built in the last two months...

Tuga,
I can admite not having every road on the country but, Our?m is there and F?tima not. What's more important for a visitant to our country?
