The idrive navagation screen in my 2007 e60 has become stuck in split screen mode. I cant for the life of me get it to go back to full screen - i swear it was when i first got the car. Is there any way to go back to full screen for the nav?

THANKS!

The screen is allways a split screen.
The only full screen is the start-up screen from where you navigate to the five menus.

lol... don't worry, i spent about half an hour searching for the "full screen" setting to no avail. I guess it's supposed to be like that.

Does your car have nav? Are you talking about the "assist window"? If you are, that you can turn off.

EDIT: I missed the fact you did have navigation. I think you can turn it off in the i-menu, or the navigation settings. OR, try out going to the right, then seeing if you can turn off assist window. I will double check when I go out for a drive later on tonight.

Hope that helps.

If you turn it off, it stays blank. The split screen stays allways split.

It's full screen during boot up with BMW logo.
If your iDrive crash at boot up some day. You will have full screen.

lol I swear it was full screen on the nav screen, really. I tried turning the assist window off but as noted it doesn't make the main window full size. I read on another forum that nav starts in full screen but once the assist window is turned on it is forever 2/3 - sounds a little bizarre to me too.

He I was looking for that too.

When I picked up my car the garage was giving me about 1h explanation of all the functions of the car. I remember that the guy started with full screen and then told me about the split screen. Sinds then it was always full screen.

And besides for e39 cars, wasn't split screen an upgrade afterwards?

I want a full screen 3d map, instead a big and small one !!!!!!!!!

I too would like full screen, its really stupid having the same map view in the two screen. The split screen would have been OK if I could set the big screen to 3d view and the small screen to direction facing map. But I cant, so this feature is no good.
