I don't mind RFTs - nothing wrong in my E60 and it's ride. Maybe because I don't drive it so hard. ![Big Grin](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/biggrin.gif)

I took off my runflat's before driving out of the dealership. Anyone looking for new pair of shoes?

Not sure about your 7-series, but on the E60, the spare tire is included as part of the Sports Package. And in anticipation of the question...yes, you can add a spare tire to your E60 if you do not currently have one. I believe there is a "spare tire kit" or something like that available from BMW.

hate runflats had lots of problems with them had to change two within five months because of bulges in the
sidewalls even though they were not that old and had a good 6mm of tread left on them also sick of harsh
ride and very skittish handling and tramlining on poor roads where i live goodyear nct5s
245/40/18s getting new tyres fitted on saturday non runflats of course falken 452s lots of recomends
will post how they perform

Maybe, because you haven't driven non-RF's?

Pauken4 - Four 245/40/18's? My car has 275/35/18's on the back, that would be enough rubber to last me like 2 or 3 years. LOL!!
I actually don't mind the RFTs either. When I bought the car it had the Sport 01 RFTs on it, and the ride was still softer than my "toy" car (255/35/20 up front and 305/35/20 out back). When I switched the RFT's out for Blizzaks (need winter rubber here in Buffalo), I honestly didn't notice that big a difference. Maybe the Blizzaks have a stiff sidewall. Who knows. All I know is the ride is still softer than the Mustang, and I'm already used to weaving around like a drunken idiot to avoid potholes, so it's not a big deal to me.
If I wanted to be able to drive in a perfectly straight line regardless of the condition of the road, and just run over anything in my way, then I'd get a nice set of 16" wheels and put a 75 series tire on them.
