My Ride: 2009 535i
Default

I have had RFTs on my 335i and now my 535i. The ride on the 335i was a bit rough, but the ride in my 535i is terrific.

Anyone else have the 18" Dunlop RFTs on their E60? I have no complaints whatsoever, but if the non-RFTs are even better when I get my 19s then I may go that route.

Who else likes their RFT's?

that's because you haven't experienced the ride in the E60 without them. it's even better. I went from the 18"RFT dunlops to 19" continental regular tires and impact harshness reduced considerably.

Yea - thought i noticed a difference between a RFT e60 and a non RFT e60 during test drives but i originally attributed it to RFT having a sport pkg. I have yet to be in a nonRFT sport pkg car but by what many members say here, it should be a lot better ride if a more suitable tire is fitted.

The good thing about me being on RFT's still is if they do indeed wear down faster, that means the quicker i'll be forced to get new tires and the bigger possibility that i'll just get new shoes altogether....WOOHOO!

If the price wasn't so high for them and the tread wear was more than 140..I probably wouldn't mind them.....but I'll be swapping over to non rft's once these are done

yes, I am on the same page. THinking of getting rid of my RFTs next week. If you have a spare tire in the trunk - why experience a bad ride with RFT?

I hope I can sell them after..

Love my RFT's. I'll be replacing them with new RFT's when the day comes. No harsh ride at all, but then I don't have (harsh) sports suspension

If you don't exceed 18" and don't have sports suspension, the RFT's are great. Those that switch out RFT's to make their ride softer are only having to do it because of SS and Big rims.

Maybe it's because every time I drive my car I drive over 100mph that I feel a lot safer having RFT's on.
