I posted this question in the parts and accessories area, but I doubt it gets enough exposure to get a response. http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=24020&st=30

For those who have replaced their rubber brake and clutch pedals with aluminum ones, have you noticed any damage to dress shoes as a result of catching the edge of the aluminum with your toe or side of the shoe. I have ordered some aluminum pedals and it occured to me that this could be a problem if one is sloppy with their feet on the pedals.

Thanks

I have had zero issues with my pedals, and the fact that they have the ///M emblem makes them look very nice. These pedals are slip resitant, much better than the stack pedals, especialy with wet shoes. Enjoy them, they look like they cost alot more than what you paid.

No issues with mine from Bimmian (except it was a freaking bear drilling through the hardened steel gas pedal, had to buy a new monster drill and carbide bits).

Mark, you're so "posh." As far as I can recall, that's the first dress shoe damage question we've had on the boards so far. I do, however, remember a couple of folks with 2004 models who burned large holes in their Armani suits with the seat heater on "high."

LOL I am no longer worried about this issue, so now you can sleep better tonight. I have heard that ya'll don't wear shoes in Arkansas so I understand your point.

I got my pedals in and will install them tonight. They look great. I guess I should stop off for a new drill bit though.
