I switched to a Porsche Cayenne. No regrets at all as the E60 seems to have bred like rabbits in the UK.... they are everywhere these days. I lost count of the number I saw on the M1 motorway yesterday between Milton Keynes and Northampton alone. Whilst I thoroughly enjoyed the E60 during the 20 months I had it the Porsche just feels more exclusive, has no squeaks or rattles and has had zero faults thus far.

Would be a very sad day to have to make that decision. Eventhough I have been without the car for about 2 weeks now, I cant imaging driving anything else.

Went to visit the car in service a few days ago. The 545 is just an inspiring car, seeing the car in person made me realize how much I miss it. If push came to shove, I would probably buy the biggest most obnoxious truck with the biggest engine I could find, and put a blower on it.

I have also started noticing this - E60s seem to be everywhere these days. I hope it does not repeat the 3-series phenomena, i.e. one in every 10 cars on the motorway is a 3 series :'(

I could see a 550, an M3 (I wouldn't be able to find an M5, nor would I feel good paying for it), or frankly a 550 estate/ Touring/ wagon (E61). If mine gets stolen today, I might try to do the E61. They don't sell them in the US, but maybe I could try ED or something.

I will seriously think of buying a GS 300. I have no doubts about the ultimate driving machine, but the headaches and frequent visits to the dealer is really a big turnoff. Yeah, its Japanese, yes, it doesn't feel exciting but its almost problem free. And frankly; how often do we really test our own E60 to the limits?

I have been to the Lexus dealership here and their service area is almost free of cars. A visit to the BMW service center shows the opposite.

Furthermore the cost of a 530 here is something like SGD 250K and the GS is only SGD 183K

Hmm.... <_< ! There have been times when the severe throttle delay in the car had me considering switching to something else. But then to what.........? So I stayed with the car. The times when it responds quickly is just awesome. I hope when I get it in for the first oil change I will be able to get the newer software to fix this problem.

I either consider 550i, GS 460, or 650i.

$250K SGD for a 530i is equal to about $150K USD!!!! For that kind of money, couldn't you fly here to the US and buy a 545, have a nice, first class vacation, ship the car back to Singapore and pocket the change!?!?!? You'd probably save at least $50K (depending on your vacation)!!!
