Alarm keeps going off

My Ride: 2006 Black on Beige 530i

I decided to paint my calipers today and got the rears painted, now when i want to paint thefront, i first put the jack under side skirt next to the wheel, but as soon as it gets raised a little but the alarm goes off. can someone please help me with this?

i appreciate the help everybody!!!!(sarcasm) i figured it out my self just leave the doors a little open for anyone else running into the same problem for this project

I wouldn't recommend leaving the car door open (even slightly) while lifting the car with a jack.

There is a way to disable the anti- tilt sensor on the alarm ( It's in the manual
) for if you take the car on a ferry, or similar situation.
Press the lock button on the remote control again as soon as the car is locked. The indicator lights up briefly then continues to flash steadily. The tilt alarm sensor and interior movement detector are switched off until the next time the car is unlocked and locked.![Smile](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/smile.gif)
