my warranty will be up soon i've got 47xxx on my E60 and i just called the dealer and complaint about my AC having a bad smell everytime i turn it on, just so maybe they'll have my aircon cleaned or something
it does have some smell but its not that bad, dealer said it wasn't covered by warranty is this true??
and whatelse should i have them checked, been in and out of the dealer since i got my car hehe i had all the suspension checked and even replaced most of it the dealer spent like $7k on it,, my sunroof, the rubber moldings in all the windshield and they changed itw/o questions asl
,, wiper blades they even replaced,, AE was busted they replaced it,, engine wise i think its ok, like i said i've been in and out of the dealer lol
and now im just thingking on whatelse they could do to check my car hehe
or whatelse can i tell them to check,
thanks in advance!

i had that bad smell in my aircon on my 3 series, it not covered! best way to reduce the smell, buy lysol and take out the two micro airfilters, spray the duct with lysol!! It the same thing the dealer did when i brought it in but they used some stink a$$ chemical!

This is a well known issue with the E46. They recommend that you simply shut off the AC a couple of minutes before arrival and just let the fan run to dry out the ducts. It seems to work to some extent. I have never experienced this on the E60. As for the remaining questions, just point out any legitimate issues before the warranty expires. Making them up only increases costs for everyone.
