Default Airbag lights

So I’ve removed the battery from the car to charge up as I thought it could be defective, finally got it to hold a decent charge and refitted it. I started the car up and now have the airbag warning light on. Any ideas how I cancel it?

You need to reset the light. If you don't have an OBD2 reader with that capability it would be good to buy one because this will not be the last time it happens.

Yeah that just started happening to me every time I disconnect the battery. It used to did not. I bought a Creator 310+ to clear it because my generic obd2 tool couldn't do it. Then I had no further use for the 310+ and so I sold it. Now I need it again and I'll have to buy another one. I probably won't get a 310+again. I wish I could just borrow one from somewhere.

I would tell you mine started the same way then when I clear it it would come right back. After troubleshooting I figured out it was the little plug coming off the positive terminal that was the issue. I cleaned it with electrical cleaner and never had the problem again.

It sucks having the airbag light on because it can be a plethora of things. The first thing I always try is charging the battery and clearing the code. That has fixed it many times since I don't drive the car other than to work and back 10 mi round trip. Hopefully you are having the same issue

I wasn't able to clear the air bag / SRS message until after I messed around with that exact same little plug you mentioned.

How did you disconnect that little plug?

I tried pushing the release clip but it wasn't coming off and I didn't want to damage that small wire by forcing it off or else I'd have a much bigger fish to fry.

That what you do. Push the clip and pull on both ends. You have to wiggle while you pull. It's hard the first time coming off but once you get it off it's easy to disconnect

Wait a minute, I was talking about disconnecting where I circled (in the photo below) but I think you're talking about where I have the arrow pointing to, right?
