Default Airbag light came on! Need help please!!

Alright guys, my active steering malfunction light has been on for a while now but I never got the time to actually try to reset it. I tried turning the wheel all the way to left, right, then back to center but that did not work. So, I heard that taking off the negative battery cable might reset it. I took it off for about 5 min and as soon as I started it up...airbag and seatbelt light is on! what can I do? now I don't just have one small active steering light but 3....looks like a christmas tree

Do you have an older battery? That seems to be some common signs of a weak battery. You will need software to get the lights out. Maybe a indy shop could help you.

did you have the key out of the ignition when disconnecting and reconnecting the battery?

if you ever reconnect or jump start a battery, the key/igniton needs to be off, otherwise a voltage surge can can issues.

did you try disconnecting and reconnecting the battery again?

Yeah I tried again, but no luck...I have no clue why It would do that for just taking off a negative terminal

There are 2 cables that are connected across positive and negative cables. One of those is either not connected properly or dead.

Thank you, but could you maybe provide a picture? I'm pretty sure I didn't disconnect anything else though

how old is the battery? a weak battery can cause issues.
and when you disconnected it, did you leave it disconnected for a little bit?
