hellow ,

i always get a airbag sensor , of seatbel warning at my idrive ...

so far it's expernsive to change this ...

i heard you can work around it .... without the sensor or somehtings ... so the airbag always work ... ?

it on the passenger site ...

sometimes when you are sitting there , you get a sound from not wearing your seatbelt , and sometimes not ....
so probly guess there is something wrong with that side :-)

does any one have and how to ???

or more information ???

thx , and sorry for my bad engelisch

There is a recall related to passenger seat occupancy sensor. I am not sure how the recalls are handled in Belgium.

It is normally the mat sensor built in to the passenger seat, expensive fix....you can buy a plug in box or get it coded out for a fix. This one for later cars http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1808007515...84.m1423.l2649 and this for earlier http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230737358610

it is the mat sensor ...

pritty expensive ...

so i buy a replacement sensor , ...

now the airbag always works , en the error is gone on the screen :-)

and it also cost 40 euro ....

airbag sensor mat = like 500 euro :-)

so i saved 460 euro

It is not always the mat. It can be something else so read the codes so that you do not spend money and time needlessly!

"airbad sensor warning" - you may want to get a gas mask (or change topic title)!
