I check every month, and typically need to add 1 - 3 lbs (545i sport w/ Dunlop runflats). These tires lose more pressure than any car I've owned--on other cars I can usually go 2+ months.

I try to check tire pressure at least 2 times per month. The Conti's I have on the car hold pretty steady with the recommended pressure.

I try not to go over a month. Every garage needs an air compressor.

Every time I wash, which for last (and only) 8 months has been once a week. My experience has been drop 2 psi in a couple of weeks and then hold there for about 4 weeks. Strange

Monthly is my goal. But, sometimes it goes beyond. Then, I check when the feeling that I should becomes too intense to ignore. Sometimes I end up a few pounds lower than I would like. I usually put a few pounds more than I want in the first place. Sort of like those who set their watches 10 minutes ahead.

If I might stray a tad, does anyone know of a fool (me) proof pressure gauge. I have a guage that I can use without letting half the air out by the time I get a reading. Historically, I almost never made an air-release error with this gauge. But, I got my new 101's and access to the valve stems is very limited. So, even with my good gauge and my best efforts, I still had to fill one tire because I let so much air out trying to get a reading.

I've been using an Accugage Tire Gauge for years--very high quality, also had a bleed valve so you can get pressure just right without having to use your fingernail to release air & reattach gauge:

I just came off autosports web site looking for a new tire guage and there wasn't anything about the accuracy of the tire guages that they sell.Did any literature come with the tire guage you bought telling you about accuracy? TIA
cheers
