My vote is K&N. some complain that you have to do cleaning of the MAFS. I do this with every re-charge. Been running them for about 12 yrs with no complaints and no issues. When i re-charge I oil evenly and lightly and wipe away any excess oil...which is what one should be doing in the first place.

Ouch! I didn't check amazon and purchased the k&n filter for $60 or so from a different site where I purchased the cabin air filters.

For the money is K&N truly worth it and is there any performance benifits? I have used K&N on my past vehicles but have not changed my 528 to K&N as I am not sure they are truly worth the money in comparison to other filters that you replace instead of clean/ re-charge which can be messy.

Be interested to know other owners thoughts before going K&N or not.

Mann makes nice oem replacement filters, I use them for oil filters. But my vote would go to k&n which I currently use or else a bmc filter which is similar to the k&n, both very easy maintenance.

I tend to learn more toward K&N. When I replaced the Air Filter in my Hummer to K&N to set off a srv engine light which went off after a few start cycles.

Does K&N trigger any sensor defaults I shoul dbe aware of or just "Plug N' Play"?

Appreciate the info.

Never heard of any CES triggered by K&N, I have had my filter in my car for over 3 years - no problems at all.

K&N is roughly three times the price of Mann
K&N is $46.42 and Mann is $16.42..
