Is air conditioned seats an option on the 550I?

Is air conditioned seats an option on the BMW 550I? Just curious..

If so do they work good?

They're not AC. They're ventilated seats and yes it's available as a priority one option on the E60. You need to get NASCA leather and comfort seats along with the vent. seat option. And yes, they're worth it.

The only problem (not really a problem, but a choice limitation) is that they only come in Beige. I really wanted them but I preferred the Auburn color with the Monaco Blue that I chose.

I wonder why they take such a great option and make it so hard to find... Makes you wonder what other "hidden" options they have...

You're half right. They don't come in Auburn (I really wish they did). But you have two options for color, Beige or Black.

They can be ordered in more than just beige or black thru BMW Individual... If you can find a dealer in the US that orders one.........

Its weird because when I build one on BMWUSA.Com. There is no option for it. Can anyone find out where I can see this or read more?

BMW Individual isn't available here, yet.

As mentioned above, this is a priority one option and is listed on the price sheet, but not on the website. Your CA will likely know nothing about it. Bottom line is you have to buy comfort seats, nasca leather, and the vent seat option to get it. The thread linked below from Bimmerfest will have the details you need. Black and Beige in the US.
