Hi Folks,

Its been a while, hope you are all well.

I have a little problem with my aircon on my 535d. Started getting a smell from the vents and no air con. A rather large leak has occured. The obvious checked, condensor, compressor hoses etc.

Stripped of the bulkhead and pressured the system with ofn to 250 psi. Had it diagnosed by 3 different guys have came up with the same diagnosis the evaporator. Well they think its the evaporator, the leaking air can be heard through the air ducts which
leads to the evaporator

Now this is a very big job, basically nobody wants to do the job other than the stealer and its a full dash removal and not under warranty.

I have googled and struggled to find any e60 with a damaged evaporator. In fact the companies that did give me a quote, gave me a quote for the condensor as thats what usually goes.

So anyone with a damaged evaporator, or anyone who had it done under warranty only to find it was something else in there.
