Default Ahl module 2004 530 6 speed

I have the ole blinking green led for the headlights not being adaptive, possible ahl issue brought a used one and would like to give it a try and recode the vin if needed. However i have not been able to locate the module i removed the glove box back where fuses are located, and did not see any modules only fuses. Can anyone tell me where else ...possible under driver knee ? Any help on location would be greatly appreciated

It sits behind the glovebox. A little black box. I just changed mine a few months back but have not coded it because I haven't figured it out

Okay when you say behind glove box does the door need to be removed or behind from under. I went from inside glove box where you remove the two thumb screws and the door where fiber lines run and you see the fuses on the left and cd changer would be on right

With the new, used AHL module, is the green led light still blinking when you turn lights to position 0?

Also, have you checked for error codes, using a BMW specific OBD2 code reader, like Carly for BMW or one of the PC based software packages, ncsexpert, inpa, ISTA, etc?

I believe it has to be coded. Before I changed mine I had one error now I have error messages in INPA for all the lights even though the lights are working except the auto leveling. If someone knows how to code it please let me know. I keep going into INPA to try and figure it out but can't. The green light also flashes on the light switch after the car is on for a few seconds.

Now in impa i put the lights in test mode and toggled left and right they will move up and down and left to right so that should mean the steppers are good. Also i have a lm error when i just read all the modules e519 1 error and 60 and for the alc a50f 1 error 1
