The picture speaks for itself. I don't remember the last time I ever hit a curb and I couldn't believe I did it. It's like Jerry Seinfeld, I last vommited 12 years ago in 1982 or something!! Ahhhhh crap!?

Ouch.. yours is not as bad though. Mine is pretty badly scraped, I dont know how they can make it nice and round again to match the rest of the rim. Who knows, will see!

They sand it down untill its smooth and use bondo to fill it in. Then they paint it the matching color and spray clear.

Wow, cool! Do you know how long it takes? Do they have to take the rim off the car, and take the tire off too? I can see this not being a cheap thing to fix!!

It around 150 to fix. They need to take the wheel off the car. They usually dont need to take the tire off. It depends how bad it is. It only takes a few hours. They can come to your office, or you could take it to a shop and roll around on the spare for a day.

$150!!! ya for that reason thats why I still havent repaired it... its not that noticable from far away so I'll let it slide for now till I have a reason to take the wheels off the car. Maybe when i get new tires.

I found this link... might be useful for some folks:

http://www.autopia-carcare.com/realwhda.html

I'm not sure I'd like to do the DIY myself, buying all the proper stuff will cost as much as having a pro do it but if you get into curb rash situations a lot it might be a worthwhile thing to learn to fix on your own

that really hurts lomag. i feel your pain.
on the up side this is a repair that can easily be fixed by wheel refinishers. the performance shop i use does a fantastic job for around $200 per wheel.
dont loose too much sleep.
