+1 no questions hands down, get the new one w/ the extended warranty. All you need is the dealer service records and a carfax........let us know what you decide and good luck!

Just to clarify-- the certiciation and warranty applies if you buy your leased car at the end of the lease-- BMW throws that in for free-- it may require you do some level of financing with them, not sure on that one, but I would get the warranty either way I go. Just mentioning in case someone else facing the same decision reads this thread.

I have had 3 CPOed BMWs. No problems. Warranty coverage is great. Great customer service. Save thousand off the price of a new one and get a longer warranty. No Brainer for me.

Check the service history all the way. I just bought a CPO on April 25th and had it for 13 days before taking it into the shop for several issues and it is still in the shop. However as a result I have asked for the service history. A lot of the issues I had where what seems to be issues other's have had so nothing that big to worry about. I just wish my dealer would have caught them prior to selling my 04 545i as a CPO. Just some food for thought.

I'm back from the dealer. Issues: telematics control unit replaced, L7 replaced and three separate repairs to the front windows- motor, regulator and cable. I only had one repair to my current car- small electrical connector in the transmission. The process was taking forever to complete paperwork and we ran out of time before I had to leave to get my kids, so I asked to keep the car overnight and drive it. It drives very well- the earlier issues with harder road feel are gone- maybe the tire pressure was too high before. I love the color (titanium silver) and the extra options are nice to have.
Three questions:
(1) Should the repair items concern me about long run reliablity? It is definitely more than my current car, but not an excessive list either.
(2) The idrive is slower than on my current car. It seems like there is a delay when you make selections in the menu. Is that typcial when you have Nav, and L7 and Sat radio-- should those items slow the system down or is this a sign something is wrong?
(3) The recommended tire pressure for the rear tires is 44 PSI, but I checked the pressure and they are inflated to only 38PSI--- what is the best pressure?
Thanks!
