Adding Sirius in 2004 e60 with pre-wire
Aside from my TCU issue I am seeking help on, I want to know if anyone can help me with the correct part number to put sirius in my car and where to get coding done in the VA,DC,NC area.
I've got 3 cables looped up with connections hanging out, in the back left side of my trunk, behind the lining.
I am assuming these are prewire for the sat module.
here is one i found, does anyone know if this can be coded into my vehicle??

S693A is the option we're looking for, which is "Preparation BMW Satellite Radio".
I don't see it on your build sheet. I do see that your car is pre-wired for the CD changer in the glovebox, but that's it.
Your car's birthday is the same as my moms. Neat!

Kyle,
thank you for looking that up!
do you do independent coding? I am ALSO looking to purchase a TCU off of ebay and have it coded in the car. We have a residence in orlando and I am there several times a year, can I bring you the car ???
cheers

Honestly I don't know that I feel comfortable coding a car for someone other than myself or close friends, only because I'd feel completely terrible if I made a mistake and bricked a control module in your car. I've coded several things on my own car, but that's the extent of my 'coding adventures'.

any thoughts as to why my idrive thinks the TCU is fine, even attempts to place call, but nothing happens?
my impression of electronics was always, they either work or they dont.
why is it the TCU will allow the idrive to think it is fine, but wont execute commands, do you think i have a cable loose somewhere... those cable ends i showed in the attachment, what could they potentially be for?
I LOVE my bmw but these issues do throw me for a loop.
