I know it might sound really ghay but why dont people just spray their existing badges with some matt or satin finnish to suit their needs ? Not sure I understand why people "buy" a badge if they already have one ?

Not dissin the products, look nice, just questioning why ?

Looks nice mate, definately the option I would take on my car if I had not decided to debadge the car completely.

The badges don't always come off in one piece and then they have some backing material left on them which would cause issues when re-applying

They're only $20 US, and come with the adhesive. It would be a PITA to scrape off the old tape and cut new tape to fit the numbers so perfectly.

They are $20 USD. One of the cheapest and best looking mods. Install time is 10 min. Who would want to sit there and spray paint these things, make a mess, then spend an hour cutting the tape? It's a no brainer IMO.
