Hi Guys
I had a knock in my E60 about 6 months ago and needed a new headlight as the last one was smashed into pieces.
Anyway the adaptive xenon does not turn with the steering but the passenger one does, I have also read the fault codes on the car and it came back with only 1 code for the entire car which isnt too bad
It is A58A Communication with stepper motor box 2 impaired.
The question i ask is do I have a duff headlight or is the controlled by one of the control units underneath the headlight?
As when I smashed the first headlight one of the control boxes was wrecked but the other one seemed fine but had some slight condensation on it so I left it to dry and refitted it to the new headlight.
Could it be a wrecked control box or the headlight?
This is the unit in question although I found this pic on ebay but it is the same unit as I have in my car
