I purchased a headlight but have no idea if it is an adaptive headlight. Is there any way to tell by looking on it? any marks or numbers?

Stand in front and look at them, have someone move the steering wheel a bit... you'll see them move.

You should find a wording 'Dynamic' around the ring when you looking at the Xenon projector (look like the fisheye) lens.

Correct, except I believe the full wording of the inscription is "BMW Dynamic Xenon"

Aha! Tkx Rudy !!! Plus I believe there maybe a lens diameter number too ...
I wasn't sure on the exact wording since my conversion is a non-AHL kind.

The adaptive function will work in the right direction and not left when you are at a standstill.

I noticed that with my loaner. Why is that?
If you want to know my opinion (I know you didn't ask for it), after driving the loaner for a few evenings, I found the adaptive headlights just too gimmicky. Now I know that, for me, it's another thing to avoid and one less thing that can break.

To avoid blinding oncoming traffic, possibly?
