Adaptive Headlights

First time poster...
I recently purchase my first BMW. I'm totally happy with my experience thus far. I purchased a 2008 528i with the following options:
Sport Pkg
Premium Pkg
Nav
Ipod
Comfort Access
PDC
Sirius
I've searched the forums and can't quite find the answer to a nagging question. Do I have adaptive headlights? The lights don't seem to turn at a stand still or at speed. Is AHL a separate option on the 08's or should it have come with one of the packages I have. My salesguy says I should have it but I think he just said it as a throwaway comment.
When I look at the lights close up it doesn't have the inscription that I've seen on other bimmers.
Also, are all '08s considered LCI models?
I'm just wondering if I have AHL and it's not working or if the previous owner mod'd the lights and they didn't catch it or I plain old just don't have the option.
Thanks for the info and I hope to contribute to the boards in the future.

Chunk, welcome! Spec sheet in the link above shows Xenon (with adaptive function) is shown as a separate option that must be ordered, not part of a package. Double check your window sticker if you have it, will be listed there. Or you can request the print out from your dealer based on your VIN.
Also make sure the switch is turned to "A" as that activates the adaptive function. Simply turning them on does not turn on the adaptive function.
Yes, model year 2008 in the US (making the assumption you are in the US) is the LCI car...
