I noticed yesterday that if I turn my wheels to the right the headlights move in that direction but when I turn it to the left the headlights come back to the center. When I drove at night on a twisty roads I thought the lights were moving in both direction but maybe not!

Shouldn't the headlights move also to the left when turning the wheel in that direction? I read several threads on the forum were people were wondering if the adaptive lights work. I know mine works but only in one direction when I'm in park position, any idea why?

Are you sure they are not working correctly? I believe the functionality is such that they only work to the left while "in motion". If stopped, they would only work to the right.

+1 - Don't recall the reasoning but the whole only 'moving' to the right while parked seems to be the case with me as well as when the car is in motion, the adaptive lights works both directions.

Thanks guys, as I mentioned earlier when I'm moving I feel that the lights move in both direction but yesterday while I'm backing out from my garage I noticed the lights were moving the right and back to the center when turning the wheel to the left. My garage walls are white so it is very clear to see the movement. I wonder why when parked they only move to the right? It is good to hear that I'm not the only one that experienced this, I thought there might be a problem.

Its so you won't blind on coming traffic when pulling out of a spot. It's normal nothing is broken.

Correct, when the car is stationary, they only move to the right. In reverse, they return to "center". Sounds like your car is fine...

+1 I remember I was backing out of a parking space showing a friend the headlights. I was like "Watch this, they turn!" I'm backing out of the spot, they did nothing.

I haven't noticed the right-only when the car is stationary, but it seems that the given explanation is sensible enough.

Whats funny is I was thinking about this last week, but I came to the same conclusion that it was normal and made since not to go left. I am glad I was right.

If there is a problem with your adaptive function, the green led indicator on the headlight switch panel will flash.
