My Ride: 2006 BMW 550i
Thumbs up

I don't know if this is by design or if this is an issue with the car.

When I turn my car right, the headlights move right, but when I turn left, they don't move at all.

On my 330I they move in both directions. Is E60 not supposed to move to the left, or is this a malfunction?

Ok, Just went down, took the car out for a little spin. And yes, you are right. It doesn't work when stationary. Even on 330i. But the e90 when moving is much more responsive than the e60, especially on low speeds.

And as IMU mentioned here, on e60 it doesn't really work at low speeds either.

I wish it did, cause I usually take turns at low speeds.

This could be the CIP18 issue. Later versions of the software have increased the sensitivity of both Active Steering and Adaptive Front Lights for speeds <30mph...

The bulletin claims the maps for these functions are 'erroneous'.

Actually, my car was delivered with CIP 20.01 and after it was in the shop for a module upgrade, now I have CIP 20.02
