I had the same error when my hood and fenders were being repainted at my local BMW Certified Repair Shop. The shop removed both of my front headlights do do the repaint properly. I was told by the shop that I would need to go back to a BMW Dealership to have the error cancelled by one of the Dealer's software guys. Cost was covered by the shop. Not sure why the AHL controller loses it's mind after being disconnected for a week but everything is fine now.
