Turn what off? The green blinking LED? Or are you getting an actually error message? Adaptive is only Adaptive with the switch turned to the left one notch from center. Switch your headlamps on without turning on the adaptive feature...

It seems it just shows on my idrive-
The error message is constantly popping up on my nav screen.
Is there a way to stop the error message to constantly showing up??

I get the same error message on mine.( my passenger adaptive and low-high lights are out) You can hit the reset button on the turn signal, but it only pops back up in 10 seconds. Leaving the lights in the off position does make it go away either.
