I need a help from those of you that have the Adaptive Cruise Control. Not that I have one but I'll be installing an hardwired radar detector and I was thinking of hiding the front sensor under the space/trim and lens of the active cruise control....
Can anyone please confrim the part # 33 on the pic is a tinted lens cover or it is a solid black piece of plastic?
I was thinking of ordering part #15 + #33 and putting the sensor under there.....
Thx a lot

also can anyone confirm that radar detector sensor can be hidden underneath the plastic bumper?
I've hear that it is possible to stuck it from inside the bumper with no problem.... no need for the sensor to be bare stripped view

I don't think #33 is the part you're looking for. All those parts in the small boxes along the lower right side of the image are little "hardware" parts like screws, caps, clips, etc.
You're looking for the tinted "dome" where the active cruise sensor is, right?

i've been told that the "dome" is actual part of the cruise control unit..... which seems pretty stupid since in that case no protection againts rocks and stuff so if broken all the unit/sensor has to be changed????
I still hope there is some plastic dome cover

The tinted dome is part of the entire ACC module so I doubt you'll be getting one of those...

edit: I see you were editting your post as I was replying...as I mentioned above, you are right that it's one unit.

Peter, I understand (and agree) that it seems ridiculous that the tinted dome isn't an individual, inexpensive part in case a stone would crack it, etc.
I'm still not 100% sure -- there may be a part (I just can't find it) but even if there is, it looks like it snaps into the ACC module so it might be difficult for you to use it the way you intend to.
I'll take a look for some info on removing the cover around the fog light...
