What is the point of my spending time contacting BMWNA Customer Relations if they just tell me to work it out with the dealer? Why the reference number when there is nothing Customer Relations can do to help me? I just don't understand the point of your post.

It's funny, though. BMW seems at least somewhat concerned with its active steering issues, probably because once active steering malfunctions, its a shitwreck waiting to happen. I remember when mine went down at one of the busiest intersections in town, during rush hour. I was not a happy camper.
Luckily, I had already slurped down 4 or 5 Budweisers on my way home from the law office, so I was partially sedated.
