My Ride: BMW 530i sport pack orient blue, fully loaded
dear all ..
i'm new to the web site as well, i enjoy surfing the very useful info available here..
i have a 530i 2005 with an active steering, i had today the same message due to a very bad tarmac, the road was bad and full of wholes, i turned the steering wheel from lock to lock, then centred and switched of, turned on and had the message disappeared.
i was not able to have it checked by the dealer today, i will next working day, will keep you posted !

Hi I had exactly the same. Ended up with changing steering wheel column, this isn't just software issue.
