I had active steering on my 04 545i, first car it was offered on; the car ate tires and was just to sensitive, so when I decided to get a 550, I didn't want active steering. I love this car, it has sports package abd drive like a sports car, matbe active steering has improved, but I don't miss it.
My 545i with AS went through 2 sets of Dunlop runflats. I think it's because the Dunlops has wear issues and not caused by active steering. Active steering is noticeable only at low and medium speed. At high speed it feels like regular steering .

most dealers will say any wrong thing is normal like that they wont have to pay up if you are under warranty. Try calling BMW NORTH AMERICA see what they say, they might help.
i just may end up having to do that as a last resort.
I just wanted to keep it friendly.
