Active seats with comfort seat option

My Ride: [i][b][u]Since 19 august 2004[/u][/b][/i]: [color=red][b]530i[/b] High Executive[/color], Silvergray with beige interior, Popular wood, Servotronic, Sportssuspension, electric foldable and dimmed mirrors, dimmed interior mirror, pappelmaser braun wood, cupholders, styling 123 18" wheels, Logic 7, Steptronic, alarm class 3, electric sunscreen in the rear and suncreens for sidewindows, Comfort seats, heated seats, Xenon with headlightwashers, Adaptive corner lights ALC, Advanced airconditioning, lightpackage, Nav Pro, 6 cd changer, side airbags rearseats, bluetooth siemens S55, chrome kidneys, gearlever with wood, voice recognition retrofit, front windshield with green band. Waiting for trunkopener button from Hobi :)

I was just wondering something. Since the comfort seats can move in any possible direction possible and the side bolsters are adjustable to a wider or smaller seatingposition. Why didn't bmw offer the active seats on the cars so the seat pushes you back a little when cornering. I drove an E-Class a year ago that had the option and it worked very nice.

I know people will say the active suspension takes out the roll of the car but still why didn't they include it in the comfort seats since all the electrical motors are already there???

Btw I am not saying I am moving around in my seat in anyway but it would be a cool feature to have.

i had the new e class and that option. dynamic seats. while taking a sharp right, the left side inflated some. you had 2 settings of I or II. at first, i thought they were great. for those that like gadgets, it's definitely fits. perhaps bmw will add this, like you said, the hardware is already there..just add the computer logic. on the other hand, the e class doesn't turn as crisp as a bmw however, i'm sure bmw will add a similar feature soon.
